Baccarat is one very famous cards game that can be played both in Las Vegas casinos and new casino sites. It’s not as complex as some may think, but it’s true it has a series of idiosyncrasies that require some attention and some time to be learned. If you want to know how to play Baccarat game online, take a look at the rules below:
There’s a dealer and a deck of cards
Just like in the case of many other cards games, whether you play Baccarat online or in a live casino, you’ll interact with a dealer and a pack of 52 cards. There can be six or eight cards used in the game. The main task you have when you play Baccarat is to place bets and take cards.
There are three betting options you can select from:
- The Banker’s hand
- The Tie
- The Player’s hand
The secret is to know when to select which one of them.
First step – place the bet
The first move you’ll have to make when playing the Baccarat casino game is to place a bet. Two cards will go to the Player’s hand (you) and another two will go to the Banker’s hand (the dealer). Once the cards are revealed, you can count their value.
How to count the value of online Baccarat cards
Baccarat casino cards have the same value, whether the game is played online or in a live casino. Thus, cards from 2 to 9 have the same value as the number represented on them, Ace is worth 1, whereas the other cards (King, Queen, Jack and 10) are worth 10.
In online Baccarat, the computer does the math for you. Remember that if you have for instance a K (which is worth 10) and a 5, 10+5=15. In this case, the actual worth of your cards is 5, because ten is substracted from the total value. You can easily remember this if every time you have a two-digit number value, you remove the first digit. If you have 13, the actual value is 3. In Baccarat online, the higher value wins, unless you opt for the Tie bet, in which case the Player and the Banker’s hands should have the same value to win.
